Hi everyone,

Earlier this week, I posted a request in the BSOD/Crash forum regarding problems on my Gateway 817GM Media Center running Windows 7. It was pointed out that errors were being caused by an out of date Realtek HD Audio driver, without which none of the audio devices on my computer will work.

Does anyone know where I can find an equivalent Windows 7 variant? A simple google search led to a driver that barely installed and resulted in another BSOD-- not an experience I care to repeat! Specs are listed in my profile, and thanks for the help!

I'm afraid that won't help in the slightest-- if you read the post, you'll note I indicated the problem was with old drivers not meshing well with a Windows 7 system. Gateway's support site was the first one I checked, and they mostly only stock Windows XP drivers -- which ended in disaster.
