HELLO,

I have a wired problem with realtek hd r237 windows 7 drivers:

I don't have any sound on laptop's internal speakers but i can hear in headphones. In PLAYBACK DEVICES headphones are detected as speakers and when i unplug them sound automatically turns to SPDIF- no sound on internal speakers.

If a make a sound test (with headphones pluged in) whith Quadraphonic selection i can hear FL in my left headphone ,FR in my right headphone,RL in left internal speaker and RR in right internal speaker.

This is really frustrating ..help!!

Can you set the default device to your speakers when your headphones are not plugged in?

Have you tried using the Realtek HD Audio Manager to see if you can correct the problem from there?

From what i can see REALTEK HD 237 DRIVERS dosen't have an audio manager aplication.I installed older drivers that have that and i cannot hear anything in speakers or headphones

I had my motherboard repaird last week and audio chip replaced but still the same problem

This is what Everest tells me:

Why it turns to spdif when i unplug my headphones? It should turn to Rear Left and Rear right where i think my internal speakers are connected

to elliottjoey: no u can't download only the sound manager ..i think that u haven't installed drivers properly.follow the instructions carrefully

to Jonathan_King: No ,sound chip was replaced by a laptop service but i think they made a mistake ..initially i had an ALC268 and now Everest detects an ALC888s witch i think that is not compatible with my MB.I talked with the guy from service and he is sure that he replaced with an ALC268 ..he said that i can check if i take a look on my MB.Anyway i m stuck with headphones sound only on Microsoft drivers unless is there a way to redirect somehow sound from headphones to internal speakers by regedit or software.
