Solved Recommendations for PDF Split\Convert?

I'm about to start a PDF project that involves splitting PDF files.

I'll also need to convert some PDFs to Word.

Recommendations? Free or paid.

PDFill PDF Tools will split or merge PDFs, extract images from PDFs, create PDFs from images, and more.
I think it's free.

It does not extract text from PDF files.

CoolUtils' web site does have some conversion utilities free versions; or, if a hard-drive version is needed, one can buy that.
