Speedfan, my favourite for years, has a nice Sidebar Gadget so you don't have to have the app window open all the time. Its hard to find a download now, but luckily, I found one.

Question re: Speccy

Based on this thread I downloaded the Speccy app. Really like it, but have a question. I'm running the Intel i7 920 which is a quad core processor. The Speccy App correctly identifies the processor, but says that the number of cores is 2 and number of threads is 4. Why doesn't it show the number of cores as 4?
