I cannot find the password for my Windows 7 laptop. Is there a way to recover it or redo it?

Thanks,

Hi there
those methods are only any good assuming you can LOGON in the FIRST PLACE.

The chances are however on a Laptop that the ADMINISTRATOR account is still available -- by default this doesn't have a password so try logging on with USER : Administrator.

Then you can change the user password.

If it's a work laptop then your IT dept will be able to re-set it.

Otherwise you'll have to restore the computer to the "Factory state" - the state when you bought it from the store with the recovery disk or do a W7 re-install - a COMPLETE one as an upgrade won't change the user password.

Cheers
