Recovering gamma data from crashed drive

The C: drive crashed on my machine. Not completely but bad enough that I no longer trust it. This is an HP machine so it has the HP "flavor" of Windows 7 that does not allow a "repair' (like the retail copy does), only a re-install. But that is not my issue.

I used this as an excuse to install a new SSD and the RETAIL version of Windows 7 (using the original license key from HP; totally legal). I had previously used a borrowed screen adjustment tool to set the gamma data on this machine (I do a lot of photo work with Lightroom).

  1. Is the gamma data stored in a file that can be copied from the old hard drive ?
  2. I CAN boot the old hard drive, although I would not call it a "stable" system. Is there utility I can use to store the gamma data to a file that then can be copied and imported on to the new system drive (after a reboot and making it the C: drive)

If its installed in a color profile (.icc) it used maybe. What program was it that changed the gamma, if you did it system wide then your display drivers may just let you do it without 3rd party help. Full model of the hp pc?
