Red X on network icon because of network bridge

hello everyone

i wanna now how to fix the red x that appears on my network icon when my xbox 360 is not turn on, my internet connection works fine but the red x is always there and that bothers me cause i don't know when i'm really connected to the internet or not. i have a network bridge with my 360 and its connected through LAN and my laptop is connected by wi-fi.

Hey EdP0,

If your xbox is off, then there is no way for you too get rid of the X since there is no where for the internet to be connected to. Yes the wire may be plugged in, but you are not actually sending any data packets back and fourth, so the red X will be there when it is not on.
