I had system crash on my Dell E6400. The laptop has been mine since the beginning. It was bought through the company I owned at the time through a new third party vendor. I was delivered to me with no discs or service tag. I am no longer part of the company anymore but through our buyout the laptop is mine. The PC has run faithfully since I received it. Unfortunately the Service Tag in the BIOS is ABCD123 - so I think the license was never transferred.
It had a SSD and when the system crashed there was no way to recover. I had system backups, but the partition backups were corrupted in the process however I was able to get the data off. Since MS doesn't have images anymore I was able to find a place that had legitimate images. I installed on a replacement drive. Since I had access to the old system files I was able to pull the data which is below:
