Remote assistance

Hi all, I have this question, I used to have Windows 7 and to use Remote assistance I would send a invitation emails. Now I have Windows 10, can you tell me if there is a more convenient way and how to use it. If there is detailed information in the form of instructions, please share, I will be grateful!

In Windows 10 you can use Quick Assist is much more advanced, only requires a valid Microsoft account and encrypts all the data passing back and through during the RDP connections. There is no such feature in Windows 7. You can also save the invitation file to a protected cloud drive. Just be aware of the possible security implications. I've seen many wide open RDP hosted computers in the search results of Shodan while doing IP address investigation for cybersecurity research.

This may go against the grain of many, but I don't recommend RDP. I'd use VNC with ZeroTier. It's a bit more involved for those that don't know how to do it, but worth the effort and security it affords. For the layman I suppose RDP is quick and easy. There's others like Team Viewer and whatnot, but that's risky too and you need to use 2FA with your account. That is an absolute MUST with Team Viewer et al. Last I read, Team Viewer was HIPAA compliant.

Also note a lot of phish attacks happen by way of these remote desktop protocols or software. So only, and I mean ONLY allow very trusted people in on your computer.
