Solved Removal of virus has blocked internet. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Jacee, thank you for your response. I checked all the internet options and they were all set accordingly, however, I am still unable to get online which makes it unable for me to do the online scan. I scanned with ESET last night and today and there were no threats found. I am re-running it but again, be aware, I can't get online to update it nor do the online scan.

according to the avast log, original date of infection was 23 jan do you have a restore point earlier than then, if so use it, and then rerun all of your scans.

Restore points are not "taking". It just tells me it can't do it and reverts to the most recent one (6-18).

If I may.

Do you have your Restore Points located on the "C" partition?
How much free space does your "C" partition have?
What per cent do you have set for Restore Points?
Do keep in mind that, if a infection got into Restore Points they will not help removing infections.

I am not entirely sure where I could find that information. I do know that I'd never really set up the back schedule (foolish I know).

I have 1.53 TB available out of 1.81 TB on my C:\ drive.

Tick on the Windows Flag key and Pause key and then go to System Protection in left column. Then select Configure.

Next.

Start Orb/My Computer/ right tick Properties for the "C" and their will be a picture.

you also need a quality antivirus, try avast it is free and works great

No offense, Opti, but I've seen this issue solved without wiping everything on the computer. That will be my absolute last resort.

Restore was the first place I went. It didn't work and I am still dead in the water.
