Removing PC from a domain

Hi all,

If I remove my win7 machine from the domain its currently connected to, will I lose all the files under that domain account?

My machine has not been on the domain in many months, but I still login with the domain account and password and save files on my desktop, will that user account be wiped after removing or will it be changed to a local account? My account has local admin privileges.

You profile will be for user on domain if you login as local user you will have a different profile the profile contains all your docs setting etc. So you need to copy everything from domain profile then login as local user and check you have all you need before you remove it from domain
