Hello, I need help, My laptop Dell with Windows 7 Ultimate 64x restarted and then did a disk check, after which it restarted again and gives me a blue screen, in the blue screen error appears UNMONTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. I had a windows stick attached to the usb before this. I managed to check the memory and the hdd in Bios and there were no problems. I managed to enter with Linux Live and it found both partitions from the hdd. But I want to repair this windows because I have all the passwords saved there. I tried to repair it with a Windows 7 DVD, but it appears after I click repair, that blue picture and it stays like that, I can only move the mouse cursor. Thanks a lot

Welcome to the Forum.

A disk check started by windows means that something got corrupted. Your drive may be failing.
Boot from a Win 7 or Win 10 installation drive. At the Windows Setup screen, press Shift+F10 simultaneously to open a command line prompt. Type:
diskpart
list disk (see if there is a * on the GPT column)
list vol (take note of the Windows partition letter. It may not be C
exit (to exit diskpart)

chkdsk X: /f (replace x with the Windows partition letter found above)
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc

Hello @Megahertz07, I will try today that, those operations will not delete my files? I use some Windows PE via USB and my C partition is Raw. I put 2 pictures, maybe will help, one is when I boot from DVD windows, and try to repair, and other is about blue screen error number.

The instructions I gave you won't make any changes to the drive.
Can you post an image of Windows PE via USB that mention C partition is Raw?
Can you launch disk manager under the Windows PE? If you can, take a picture and post the image here.

Hello, sure, sorry for late post, but I havent sleep and I was upset I put some pictures, what you ask and other with some error about recycle bin. Took to much time to boot from Windows PE and to enter in disk management, I use Windows PE from usb stick, not from a Dvd. E partition is my C with windows But in Linux Live, windows partition is there, I can acces files, isnt RAW like in Windows PE. I try to upload pictures, but I give me this error

DON'T TRY TO FIX IT.

Thank you, I check hdd life in hd tune, in Windows PE, is 100%. I just want to boot again in Windows to save my programs info, or to clone my C, to save my information and programs, somehow I am very sad Hope jumanji will help me, I waiting his help here. I dont know all my spects, but I will but what I remember. Thank you for your time and help

A drive can have a software failure or a hardware failure.
A hardware failure can't be fixed. The drive seems to be good, as other partitions are OK
A software failure can be fixed using the right tools.
Trying to fix can make it worst so wait for him. jumanji lives in India so it can be a big time difference. Where do you live?

What is your laptop model (see under it)?

Thank you very much because you answer me. I feel sad and depressed, because I have all my passwords and info data on C, also mails addresses, and I dont know passwords for all, just few I remember I am from Romania, laptop is Dell Inspirion 3537.

Mini Tool partition 9.1 has a good recovery tool.
DiskDenius is a good tool.
