There is probably something in hirens that can make an image.

I will have to download it and have a look. I can see a link for diskgenius in your photo. Did you run that and see what it says ?

@SIW2 No, I didnt use any of them, becasue I was afraid to not overwriting MBR, I read something about it. Your boot media? What do you mean?

It is a bit like hirens but it has different tools.

I made one from win7 and one made out of win10. I also made a win11 version but I haven't quite finished it yet.

I think you have Macrium Reflect on Hiren's
You select to make a drive image of your drive (the source)
You select the folder on the external drive to save the image (the target)
You must have almost 1G of free space no the external drive.

1904 is win 10. which is much bigger 1904v9.iso

I will have a look at hirens now and see what it has got. Is it v1.0.2 that you have ?

A clone is when you generate a drive that is equal to the source (the target has all partitions equal to the source but can have different partitions sizes)
A drive image is single file that has all partitions files and folders of the source. With it you can generate the source in any drive (same or bigger size)

hirens looks quite useful.

There are several programs you could make an image with. Aomei backupper or macrium or diskgenius. Make an image of at least the windows partition before you do anything else.

Then check the partition parameters with diskgenius and see what it says.

rt click the raw partition and select modify partition parameters. Dont change anything just post a screen shot so we can see what it says.
