Reset Connection Settings

I am looking to reset my network settings altogether; I want everything forgotten and my Network and Sharing Center to act as it did when I first installed Win 7. I've tried looking through several options myself and browsing several threads, but no luck.

Can anyone provide a tutorial for bringing everything back to default?

i have the same problem too.
I made some changes to the registry, regarding the lag in games (it's a thread here) and wanto to turn it to default.
Please help

I really would appreciate it if someone could provide a way for me to reset my network settings in such a way that makes my computer think it has never connected to a network yet. What I'm essentially looking for is the equivalent to Vista's "Merge or delete networks" option, as Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks only seems to do half of the job that the former did.

I have not tryed this but this is what I would try

1. Click on Start button.
2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request.
4. Type netsh int ip reset in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
5. Restart the computer.

The command will remove all user configured settings on TCP/IP stack and return it to original default state by rewriting pertinent registry keys that are used by the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stack to achieve the same result as the removal and the reinstallation of the protocol. The registry keys affected are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DHCP\Parameters\

It looks like I'm being misunderstood. I don't think that I would have to go so far as to use the command prompt to edit my registry.

I'll provide an example of what I'm essentially looking for:

Network Connection - Delete - Vista Forums

I'm essentially looking for Win 7's equivalent of the window shown in in Step 5, or at the very least the same options as it. I just want to delete whatever knowledge my computer has of ever connecting to any network in the first place, inserting an ethernet cord into the port, and Windows to think that it's the first time it has ever seen one. There has to be a way to do this without tweaking the registry in any way. Again, I appreciate any help that can be offered.

Are you looking for something like Control Panel-> Credential Manager?

No, I'm not. I'm looking to delete the networks that Windows 7 has previously connected to. It seems to be different than deleting preferred networks. Check the link I provided; in Vista, there was a list that you could modify. In Win 7, there doesn't seem to be any similar list; or at least one that isn't as easily accessible.

Thats' what Credential Manager does.... That's why I suggested it.

You might want to walk me through what I have to do to delete those networks, because I don't see anything resembling deleting networks in my Credential Manager.
