Hi Everyone,
I am a long time PC user and know what I have absorbed since Atari ST days and have read PC related mags continually since the '80s . I had a friend who was a very knowledgeable amatur tech who sadly passed away and I am still trying to keep on top of problems but you can't win em all! I am a self employed suplier and fitter of all types of flooring.
I a current ongoing problem with my rig which is; It works exactly as it should - but it crashes out (powers off) at random times - usually after it has been left running for a few hours on SLEEP or in use. This has been happening for 3 or 4 months at least and when I try to restart it just keeps turing of after 3 seconds without even allowing the POST screen to show. I have tried to start it with everything disconnected that will unplug but the problem remains. This morning I was sat in my ofice and tied to start the beast - and lo and behold it booted straight into Win 10 and ran perfectly! This points to a component fault in my opinion but where? Is it in the 4 year old PSU (550w model) , The mobo, GA-z87-Hd, the ram, 8g crucial? Not much else I suppose. I have heard of this problem before on Google but no solutions. Can anyone help out plz?

- Never had a problem 'till it threw a serious wobbly by restarting randomly for ages, then it would not start at all, took it to a computer repair shop (not much use - cost me 80.00) came back- happened again - I eventually traced it to old m-audio midi driver. Now fine.
