Restoring a previous view in Windows 7 Explorer

It would be awesome to be able to open Windows Explorer when starting up computer for the day and have it open to the same view as when you shut it down the last time. As of now, for instance, I have to click My Documents, Work Related, Biomass Projects, Hodunk School in succession to get back to the files I was working on the night before. I don't want Explorer to open to this view (Hodunk School) every time -- although if that is only option, I'd work with it. Ideally, I want Explorer to open to any view it was in before it closed. I don't really want to go through a series of steps each and every time to ensure this happens, rather just set it to do it once and for all. Any ideas?

Hello Vonze, Welcome to W7F. Open Explorer (Windows key + E) Click Organize \ Folder and search options. Click View, scroll down to and check "Restore Previous Folder Windows at Logon" Click apply and OK, close Explorer. When your done for the day, leave all your folders open and shut windows down. When you startup in the morning all the folders you have had open the night before will appear. Test it out! Open a number of folders and leave them open then shutdown and then start Windows.

Thank-you Lance1, was a bit confused by this sequence: "...close Explorer. When your done for the day, leave all your folders open..." as it seemed contradictory since the particular view of Explorer IS the thing I want to open to the next time. Anyway, I checked the box you advised and left Windows Explorer open and shut down computer. Then when turned back on, Explorer opened to the view where I last had it. Haven't tried it yet multiple times with different views each time, but good so far. Again, a big thank-you.
