OK guys, thanks for helping but I just realized that the other instances of previous windows installations were still showing up - though windows 7 boots just fine.

How do I safely get rid of them ?

Should I just let it go since it's not causing any problems?

You can just delete them.

Highlight the two you want to delete then it's Delete>Apply>OK>Reboot.

OK- but for some reason, windows 7 is identifying itself as windows 8 developer preview.

The entry called windows 7 is the fake one I added with easybcd - same for the other one as well.

Cross check the listings in EasyBCD 2.02.

Then delete the non-booted OS's, rename the booted OS on Edit OS menu.

That worked. All cleared up. Thanks for the help.
