Solved Rosewell Challenger help.

Sorry about it being so dark guys, I can't really get it any better than that, the third picture shows the main connector with the extra 4 pin in it beside it because im guessing that is how it goes.

Interesting! I wonder if the draw on those circuits necessitates dual feed. It "ran" with only one 4-pin supply but I'm betting the extra feed might be needed to supply extra current. The manual says to remove the cap and use an 8-pin power connector. Strange that the Mfg. would even put a plug in there.

I've always wondered that myself. My 1155 board came with 4 pins exposed and 4 pins covered. I never have figured out why they would do that. Just another way to confuse us I guess.

I have also used Fedora, Suse, Ubuntu Linux

I find it funny how someone had said the 8 pin is required to run for a quad core which I have but my computer has been running fine on 4 pin and not the fully 8

I have read several places that most boards will run with 1 4 pin connector but will run better with both. You manual says you must use 8 pins. I guess they lied. I really don't know the correct answer. I just plug in all of the connectors they give.

And all other Windows from 95 to date except ME
I find it funny how someone had said the 8 pin is required to run for a quad core which I have but my computer has been running fine on 4 pin and not the fully 8
I have taken time to think this one through, with just one 4 pin plug it worked, but it may just be possible that the CPU trying to pull too much power has damaged the 12v line for that plug which is why it didn't work when you put it back together. If this is the case then you will be on a time limit with the 12v line for the other plug. It would be a good idea to get your PSU tested or to start saving for a new PSU so you can replace it should it die on you again.

Well if that is the case, that line has been running on a 4 pin for about 4 years now ;P so I guess that time limit seems pretty long for me by then ill have a new build.
