Have you tried to disable Sleep and Hibernate Mode?
Go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Power Options then click on the blue link "Change plan settings" and under "Put the computer to sleep" change it to Never on battery and Plugged in, then save changes. Once it takes you back to Power Options, on the left menu, click on "Choose what closing the lid does" and change them all to "Do nothing" and that should fix the issue. It did for me.
