Screen goes black for a second.

Hi, every once in a while my Toshiba Satellite L300D-11V screen goes black, then comes back on after a second or two. Can you tell me what is causing this?

ATI Radeon X1200 Series is what graphics card my toshiba laptop uses. I upgraded my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7 - 32 bit in January and have had no problems until now. I just had to get the fan replaced on this laptop.

Any idea what could be causing the screen to go black for a second or two?
