Perhaps this is a known Cool Thing. Looking at my Aero GUI in its visual detail, I noticed that the drop down control on the IE SearchBar was orange (not my preferred color in my otherwise forest green theme).

Well, at least my attention was focused on something other than dark energy and fundamentalism, so I decided to add a new search provider.

For the first time ever, I saw a new context menu entry - Add Search Providers. Find More Providers is also on the menu. My mouse focused there and Seven Forums popped out. I selected it. Now I can search SF from the IE SearchBar.

The icon is a bit non-descript.

Well, that sux. If I am not on an SF page, it takes me to Bing.

I use FF. LOL:p

Hmm... The Bing results are limited to SF pages. With related searches and history framed left.

Known cool thing in Firefox but it also takes you to bing when not on sf.

We did have a dedicated search server but about two months ago, John and I decided outsourcing searching to Bing was much better for search results/server load and resource usage ;)

Well, I will try it at other sites also. I do like the fact that a site's search control can be located in a fixed position within the browser window.

Another cool thing - I got your meg.

Having a calculation error there, Dinesh? To determine the day's workload, count the elephant legs and divide by five. You may have to trunkate the result.
