I use a Dell XPS M1530 which arrived with 32bit Vista. I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on a new replacement hard drive. The new OS does not recognise a second monitor and the message 'This is not supported' shows on the monitor.
Can anyone please help with this problem, please, as I use two screens much of the time.

Hello colinbyfleet, welcome to Seven Forums!

Does Windows 7 recognize the second monitor at Control Panel, Display, Change Display Settings?

Have you managed to obtain any Dell nVidia Geforce 8400/8600 Windows 7 drivers for the XPS. I only ask cos you list Standard VGA in your Specs.
