Hello there!

So this problem is getting really old.

I had my computer for more than two years and it war running fine and dandy all the time pretty much.

After the last format I decided to move to Windows 7 64 bit from Windows XP 32 bit with the addition of 2GB of ram extra.

Here is the current computer specs:

System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 Ghz
Motherboard: ASUS P5QL-EM
Memory: 2x OCZ Gold XTC OCZ2G8002G (2GB)
Graphics Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce 275 GTX (896 MB)
Sound Card: Realtek ALC1200 @ Intel 82801JB ICH10 - High (Integrated)
Hard Drives: SAMSUNG HD322HJ ATA Device (320 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 500W SLI
Case: Asus TA-863 Black
Cooling: Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro PWM

Soon after the system was up and running I started encountering this strange problem which is bugging me since January.

Here's what's hapening:

The system is runnig smoothly basicly all the time. It doesn't strutter or overheat or crash. I can run most of program without any problems (Office, Firefox, Solid Works). The problem only occurs whan playing certain games OR when playing certaing games with the addition of voice chat communication (like Mumble, Ventrilo, Team Speak).

Originally the crashes where most frequent while playing Battlefield 3, but I simply decided my system might be too weak to handle that game so I switched back to Minecraft (which I've played no problem on Windows XP) and boy when I was suprised when it froze.

The freezes are compleate and total. Everything stops and none of the keybord input is working (Caps lock, Num lock, etc.), I can only push the rest button and nothing else.

Games that crash the computer:
Battlefield 3 + Mumble
Minecraft + Mumble, or Minecraft + Modpack (Technic pack)
Assasins Creed Refelations
Blacklight Revolution

Games that DO NOT crash the computer:
World of Tanks (even with Mumble on)
Civilization V
NBA 2k12
Saint's Row The Third (it froze once or twice with mumble but not all the time)
Minecraft without Mumble (it works stable around 95% of the time WITHOUT voice comm.)

Suprisingly this freeze/crash happens without any BSOD all the time.

So the proccess of debugging this freezes is allready long.

I've started by running any benchmarks I've found in google (related to the problem) so I did Memtest, Prime, 3D Mark, etc. The only thing I ruled out is the memory (I've tried using only one sticks and trying both the new ones, and the old ones in each DIMM slot it crashed everytime no matter the configuration).

I also updated any drivers possible starting form NVIDIA and ending with updating all motherboard drives, and the BIOS as well. Still nothing helped.

After a lot of Driver related checks and updates I finally managed to create a BSOD after running the computer in clean and alert mode (with the minimal number of drivers and procceses), BSOD 0x00000124.

Here are all the dumps I've created back then:

View attachment 230663

EDIT: Also forgot about this thing:

View attachment 230662

After that I was adviced to send my computer to a computer service for repairs. I've send but after a week of troubleshooting and benchmarkig the computer returned to me with only a replaced CMOS battery and a note "Problem not found computer is working properly".

So ATM I'm puzzled what to do I was thinking of getting some new computer parts (like a new processor) but I need to know which one is the faulty one to actually change it.

This is what I've tried also trying to make it go away:

- Update Graphics Drivers
- Update Motherboard Drivers
- Update Sound Card Drivers
- Update Chipset Drivers
- Update BIOS
- Reinstalling Punkbuster (Battlefield 3 related)
- Reinstalling, updating JAVA 32 bit and 64 bit (Minecraft related)
- Running games "As Administrator"
- Allocating more RAM for games (Minecraft related)
- Benchmarking
- Browsing the Event Viewer for potential problems
- Overclock the proccesor
- Underclock the proccesor
- Upping Voltages on proccesor
- Upping VOltages on memory

That's all I can think of. I hope somone could pinpoint at least the faulty hardware part (if it's hardware), but ATM I'm absolutely out of ideas on what to do next.

HELP PLEASE!

P.S. I hope my spelling wasn't that tragic...

WHAT U WANNA KNOW !!!
I can try cleaning the pagefile next shutdow (soon).

I've diagnosed the HDD with a Samsung program back in February (I belive it was SeaTools) and found nothing wrong with the HDD.

Ram was checked with memtest (around 5-6 hours) with 0 errors. After that I checked if the problem is RAM orientated by checking each RAM stick (both the new ones i bought while going do Windows 7 and the old ones). I did as this:

DIMM 1 slot: Stick #1 New one -> crashed
DIMM 1 slot: Stick #2 New one -> crashed
DIMM 1 slot: Stick #1 Old one -> crashed
DIMM 1 slot: Stick #2 Old one -> crashed
DIMM 2 slot: Stick #1 New one -> crashed
DIMM 2 slot: Stick #2 New one -> crashed
DIMM 2 slot: Stick #1 Old one -> crashed
DIMM 2 slot: Stick #2 Old one -> crashed

And by crashed I mean that the computer acts the same as usual (no error, crash during normal use, etc.) and just freezes up in the above mentioned situations as usual.

By this I ruled out that the RAM stick are not faulty, if it's a RAM related problem it has to be on the Motherboard or Processor or I don't know...

Aslo I thought about getting some spare parts and trying them out, but the problem is most people I know have either laptop's or an AMD processor, so until I found some fitting parts I'm stuck with my own.

RivaTuner? I doubt it since the problem's started before it but I will uninstall it better. Still I will need a program to regulate the graphics card fan...

A4thech driver is a lie (I think) I've updated it many times plus, used a diferent mouse didn't help.

I can surely uninsatall Daemon since I don't use it anyway...

That's all the files the Diagnostic tool did...

EDIT: The tool crashes with this error:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Also please post as much solutions and ideas as you can I'm going out now and will return in like 6 hours so I'll try them out then.

I did Right click and "Run as Administrator" and yes I am logged in on a Administrator Account (my only one), still this error happens every time I run the diagnostic tool...

EDIT: I manualy used each option of the diagnostic tool and everything it created in the folder is in the new download below. For some reasons the tool couldn't copy the host file so I did it manually.

The last two options asked me to download MGADiag and CPU-z. The firs created a folder on my C:\ drive should I upload that too? As for the CPU-z I'm not sure what information from it you wan't me to show you.

Bumping it up!

After uninstalling RivaTuner and Deamon tools the computer seems a lot more stable. However it still managed to freeze twice in about 5 hours (it's much better than before where I was getting freezes like per 15 minutes).

Anything more I can do (except the pinpointed mouse drivers)?

Here is another Diagnostic tool package:

Last time I managed to finally get a BSOD after launching the system in a "clean boot", but now it doesn't work anymore. The computer just freezes as usually with no BSOD at all...

I don't know what to do now...

I'd uninstall the Nero Desktop - it's an old version and I don't believe it's Win7 compatible (even at the best of times)

If this can not be accomplished,
then there is a very, very high probability that you have an illegal version of Win 7. Consequently, we will not be able to help you.

Here you go I don't have a sticker, that's because I have my copy of Windows 7 from the MSDNAA program that my Academy is using. I think I'm allowed to use it as long as I'm studying (so for the next 2,5 yers).

I don't know if there is a way to show it's a legal copy I can look into my e-mail from microsoft to check...

I don't really understand how your school system works in the US so I can't tell you what level of degree it's compared to your schools ;)

WIN | type MSCONFIG | ENTER | STARTUP tab |
Uncheck ALL

REBOOT!

You have just told Win 7 to not run unchecked programs at start up time.

You have not disabled the programs. They will be run when needed.

WIN = key with the Microsoft logo on top

CCLEANER | TOOLS icon | STARTUP tab | SCHEDULED TASKS tab |
Use DISABLE button to disable ALL except for:
PHP:
Adobe Flash Player Updater Adobe Systems Incorporated C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe
CCleanerSkipUAC Piriform Ltd "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" $(Arg0)

Close CCleaner.

REBOOT!

You have not disabled any programs. You have disabled the scheduled running.
Later, after your system is running smoothly, you may reenable desired programs.

UNINSTALL

PHP:
Java(TM) 6 Update 30 (64-bit) Oracle 2012-01-10 91,8MB 6.0.300
Java(TM) 6 Update 35 Oracle 2012-07-03 95,6MB 6.0.350
REBOOT
This is a security problem.

By uninstalling Java, then if a program ever needs Java, you will be prompted to install and you will receive the latest version which is better and more secure.

Since you have been running naked thru the internet (no malware protection), then:

Download, install MSE, Microsoft Security Essentials.

Link to MSE in my signature.

The initial scan by MSE will take longer since MSE will be performing a thorough and deep search.

MSE is the one and the only anti-malware software that I use, that I install, that I recommend.

Let me know when all of the advice regarding startup, scheduled, installed programs is completed and the initial scan by MSE is completed.
