Send a username and password with an url

Hello,

I have a question about a internet shortcut.
Is it possible to send a username and password with the shortcut.

In my case I want my NAS to automatically scan new media when pressed on the shortcut.
But I have to log in when I press on the shortcut.

I want to go directly to rescanning for media.
It`s impossible to explain how to do it to my parents...

But surely if you could do this then there is no point in having a user name and password!

Well it`s only for a specific url that just opens and closes to reload my media server.
The shortcut will only stand on a local PC.
And I just can`t open the entire NAS or else I would have done that as it isn`t connected to the internet anyway.

But you mean it is not possible at all?

Nothing is impossible so far as this is concerned but I don't see how it can be done but perhaps others here may have some ideas!
