Solved Setting default font in MS Word

Something happened to my MS Word and the default font changed from Times New Roman to Calibri. I have gone into the font menu and set the default, but it doesn't work.I It always goes back to Calibri. Is there a way to set a default font for all of Win7 or some other way to make this work?
I'm running MS Word 2010 on Win7 home 64 bit.

MS Word default font - problem solved

I think I solved my own problem. I noticed others posting about a similar, but not the same issue and someone mentioned the normal template. That was the problem. When I changed the normal template to coincide with "the current document" that locked in Times New Roman, 12 pt.
