sfc /scannow

Hi all,

I have a PC which when you run CMD prompt >sfc /scannow goes to 26% then stops. The system is Win 7 HP 32 bit & other than the above it runs perfectly.

There have been successful theme changes without any problems to the system & check disk has been successful at each run...

Does anyone have any ideas as to why sfc stops at 26%?

Any opinions will be welcome!

Due to system integrity violation.

Try SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot ... see if it works.

If not, the best thing would be to perform a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html.

If the integrity violation does not cause any big issue for regular computing (it is possible if there is a modified system file for theming etc, or you have taken ownership over any file in C) then you may not pay a big importance to this issue.

I'll try running sfc /scannow with the cmd prompt at boot & get back to you if successful or otherwise.
