tw33k,
It's going to be a fine system and don't worry the cable management will come to you as you install the new PSU. I think if you pull the sata cable off the Asus over to the PSU and run then cable tied to where they will duck behind the board or into their drives it will look great. But already with out any of those tweeks.......get it......it looks real clean.

Thanks man, that's a good idea! I got a 200mm fan for the back of the HDD cage but it's too big. I might get another 120mm Kaze Ultra (those are incredible) and wedge it between the fan controller and the BD Rom (I'll have to measure it but it should fit)

I see a lot of motherboards with the PCIex16 slots one away from eachother, i.e. with a single slot between them, and I made sure to buy one with two between them :)

Thanks Dave. This is the first time I've really bothered with proper cable management and it's hard work. Yeah, adding the new PSU shouldn't be that difficult now I know what I'm doing (I hope anyway)
In those pics, I have the CPU cooler the wrong way round. I fixed it so now the rear fan (intake) blows cool air i and the CPU fan sucks it thru and out the top exhaust.

Hmmm.... I don't think so, Tw33k has the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P, while you've got the ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO. The 790 has a 16x and 8x, the 785 has a 16x and 4x. :)

Practice makes perfect! Lol.. Just think of this PSU as a 'cable management trial run', when you get the new one, then it'll be the real deal.

By the way, if you do find the cables are a bit short and you have some unused space that you can hide cables in... What about getting some of NZXT's cable extensions? They look pretty awesome, and they come already sleeved. NZXT :: Unique. Unprecendented. Inspired - Product

I have to agree there... Here's a quote from TrustedReviews:
So here we are with the Asus M4A785TD-V EVO and we're faced with a world of confusion. For starters there are the dual graphics PCI Express slots except they're not, not really. 780G/785G supports 22 lanes of PCI Express for expansion cards with 16 lanes reserved for the graphics slot so the second long PCI Express slot you see in the pictures only gets four lanes. Quite simply, there is no prospect of CrossFireX on offer with 785G.

Upgrading PSU next week so I'll try to get the cable management a bit tidier if I can (it's hard to get it better than it is due to the ASUS U3S6 pci-e card for my SSD) but it's pretty good. I'm very happy but I didn't realise the case was so big. Had to rearrange everything so it'd fit.

If you want to tone it down a little, take a lighter and touch the end of the LED quickly, move away, and repeat until it singes it. (Permanent dimming without messing with resistors and what).

I put my GTS450 in that slot, and I think it said x16 under some hardware ID or whatnot. I switched it when I changed my case, so I'll try it again :D
