Yes it is but from what most say here who know a lot more than me you don't see that in actual usage so whats the point is the question?

Never even tried Rapid Mode after hearing it only boosts the numbers. A Guy

Hmm, my 4K-64Thrd seems lower than similar models. Score is half of what others are getting. Also magician shows the iops for read/write are at half of what they should be (around 40-50K).

I really don't know what a nice score is.
I don't do any thing to the ssd before test except format and then test. No speedup, tuneup type of things.
I try to test them the same way I use them.

In reference to the post above, this is done with an OS and data partition (no clean format), while I surf.

I think my write speed is due to either having only 128Gb or that the X300 Sandisk is using different tech to the Samsung 850 evo. Apparently its all about access time anyhow.

I wonder why mine has such a lower score (4K/64 and access times) with respect to yours. Asked this a few times but never got an answer.

What I noticed is that the IOPS Read/Writes are also half of what they should be (40-50K) in Samsung Magician.

I think the Chipset and SATA controller play a big part in scores. But, is it noticeable, is the real question. Probably not is the answer, I think.

I'll have to dig back through the thread and compare it to my Intel 520. Or I could just run it again to save time.

Brand new in post today 850 evo. Partitioned to 100Mb, 37Gb, +the rest. I've installed Samsung Magician but I have not run the optimiser since I plan to do a full reinstall anyway. On Z97X Gaming 5 with 13.1.0.1058 IRST.
