How can you tell ?

Did you disable Rapid mode in the Magician software ?

Disable Rapid mode and run the test again and post your results.

Here is my test with Rapid Mode disabled & the one below is with it enabled.

As I never use it with Rapid Mode disabled, this exercise is really only for comparison purposes. So from the practical point of view it is somewhat pointless.

It`s not pointless, you can`t get a true test result using Magician software with Rapid mode enabled.

Rapid mode creates a ram disk, that`s what`s tested when you have it in Rapid mode, I`ve always had it in Rapid mode too, but with it off I see no speed change at all, read the posts above that explain why Rapid mode is a bad idea.

Yeah seems slow for an EVO should get at least 300 on both.

Are you referring to he Samsung Magician software?. I have a Samsung 840 Pro SSD & I have installed the Magician Software. When you have installed it you can perform those Samsung performance screen shots that are shown in this thread.

You can also make a lot of changes in it operation as well & set things like the Page File size etc.

I got that with mine too, I didn't open it.

I think it's the data migration software and Magician.

I just downloaded Magician.

Good luck with that , i have complained on their website numerous times and they just brush it off. It doesn't help having lots of reviews on sites like Amazon saying "great drive , very very fast " lol.

I don't know what them folks have been smoking but their not living in reality.


There are a few posts that say the drive does not meet advertised specs though.

Probably comparing to a hdd is why everyone says it's very fast
My Crucial mx100's seems faster than a speeding bullet but don't bench well at all so who's to judge :/
I'd say the best test is in real time usage

Hey, Intel sent me a brand new 3770K when I fried mine, so it doesn`t hurt to send them an email

I can live with the read score, but the write score is pathetic.
