What would my GTX 285 1GB's score be on Windows 7 7264, I'm getting 6.6 on 7100.

Any idea's? I'm not going to download it from BitTorrent, I can only hope MS change their mind and want to do a second RC lol

We are not clairvoyant...only way to see what score you'd get 7264 is to install it...

You don't need to be, someone might have the same or a similar card which would give me a rough idea.

I'm assuming the 4870 is not overclocked and the drive being benched is the X25-M?

Intel finally put their own drivers for my card on their site (rather then the ones in Windows Update that made me sad).

Oddly enough, RAM went down .2 and graphics went up .1 (from Windows Update Drivers).

So here's my new WEI after turning off all caching, both in the Intel Storage Manager and in the Windows device settings ... Huh??? I can't figure these guys out ...

How did you disable caching in Intel Storage Manager? I'm running the latest version (8.9.0.1023) on Vista x64 and I don't have any settings except display my harddrive information? I do have the option in Device Manager though.

If you right-click on an array, you can enable/disable disk drive caching.
If you right-click on a volume, you can enable/disable writeback cache.

How did you get 8.9? The Intel site still shows 8.8 ...

I wonder what the new i7 (2009) Mac Pro 8-core 2.93GHz, 32GB DDR3 1066MHz ram, with GTX 285 1GB with 4x 256GB (512 if they have) SSD's would score on WEI :O

Not at all. Even a change from 1GB to 2GB of RAM makes about 0.2 to 0.1 difference, let alone 512MB.

Do some Googling for GTS 250 WEI scores, along with GTX 275, 280, 285, and 295 (which is two 280s in one card). And you'll soon see that yours is way off. In fact, no 2xx series card should get 6.9 or higher, unless it was SLI with Vista, and even then, the WEI score isn't supposed to be affected by SLI.

Let me give you some examples:

GTX 260 = 5.9 (multiple reports of the same number)

Even 8800 GTX is coming in around 5.8 to 5.9

This is from multiple sources, including Post your WEI Score - Page 21 - nV News Forums and this forum's WEI posting thread as well.

Even others report 5.9 for similar CPUs to yours (Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.66GHz) that you list at 7.3. An overlcocked Core i7 is going to get 7.something, not a Core 2 Quad.

Sorry, have to call BS on your WEI scores. Multiple other reports don't lie. :p

The test itself must be flawed then because 6.9 is what it says on my PC. The only difference being that it doesn't show that my CPU is Overclocked @3.0Ghz
