Shutdown button with updates warning symbol, but no updates

Hi

The shutdown button on my PC has the yellow update warning symbol. But when I shut down the PC, no updates happends, and the next time Im gonna shut it down, the update symbol is still there

Also my father living many miles away from me has the same problem. He also has windows 7, but another PC

What can be done to get rid of this problem?

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions
and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

Now the SURT and SFC have been run on the PC. No errors found

The update symbol on the end-button is still there, but it has been som updates when shutting down the PC this weekend

Windowsupdatelog file and a screen shot of the windows uptae are attached

The CBS zip map is too large, in spite that older cab files are removed, about 9mb. How could this be more compressed, to get it smaller?

Some of the language is in Norwegian, maybe a bit difficult to understand

That worked
There's no errors in CheckSUR, or the CBS.log.
The last errors I can find in the Persist logs are related to reboots being required before updates can be installed. (dated 9th Oct)
The WindowsUpdate log shows that only the Win10 update is pending - and it's almost certainly that which is triggering the shutdown icon.

I have seen this problem being reported a number of times recently - along with the lack of update notifications!
It seems MS messed around a little too much with the WU system to prepare the way for Win10.

Good It was just that I expected, that it had something to do with WU system for win 10. Hopefully, MS will not "end" win 7 and force us to update to win 10

They cannot possibly end support for Windows 7 until Jan 2020 - but it's already in 'extended support' mode, and is only now getting major bugfixes, and Security updates.
