Simcity 3000 on Windows 7 Black Screen

Okay, I've tried for 2 days running SImcity 3000 Unlimited on my Windows 7 32bit, but the problem is, everytime I start it, there's black screen with the cursor and the music. I searched for over twenty hours on google, but nothing has fixed it. I've tried Compatibily Mode with Windows XP S3 or Windows 98 and 95, running as administrator, running in windowed mode, changing resolution to 800x600, changing display colors from 32 bit to 16 bit but ABSOLUTELY nothing has fixed it.

So please, if anyone could help me, I would be very grateful. All I want is to play this freaking game.

i remember many moons ago reading about getting sim city 3000 to work on xp using a program called DOSBox. Might be worth investigating.

Yeah, but Simcity is for Windows, so DOSBox would not help.
