Sleep Problem

Every time I try and sleep my laptop, the screen goes black like it normally would, and then comes back in the log in screen a few seconds later. It worked fine before the update, so I'm guessing it had something to do with that?

I might just uninstall the updates... It's not the first time I have had an update do more harm than good.

UPDATE:

I found that it has something to do with when the mouse is plugged into the USB port. I used to have a bluetooth mouse and that was fine but i got rid of it because i was tired of changing batteries. Other things in the USB port do not wake up my computer.

Any ideas?

Yeah. The updates probably had some changes to the network card or USB drivers. Check to make sure the network cards can't wake the computer by doing "devicemanager">network card properties> powermanagement>untick the whatchamacallit thingy thing.

yeah i know it's not that i made sure it is unclicked. It is because of the mouse. It's lame that the update would mess with that... it's quite annoying actually. is anyone else having similar issues

How about disabling USB devices from waking the system as well. And also do that in the power configs.
