Slow Shutdown in Windows 7, takes 3-4 Mins

Hi experts

My Windows 7 takes nearly 3-4 mins during shutdown, sometimes it is very irritating.

Kindly help me.

Sounds like you have programs still running in the background. Insure you exit all your programs before shut down. If you don't, windows will shut them down, then power off. What kind of pc is this? List your specs, and what programs you normally run during the day. Will help use help you figure it out.

Even though you do a fresh start and shutdown without running any program, the problem remains the same.

I have mentioned my system specs in my profile.

I have new laptop , with drivers and recommended apps installed which is given by ASUS in their driver CD, in addition to that I have installed AVG antivirus. There is nothing else which I have installed yet.
