yeah i saw it and immediately thought to leave a link here because in previous versions a solid wallpaper color could give a slight boost in start up time.

I had the long delay at the Welcome screen and I jumped through hoops of fire trying to find the culprit -- of course the solid coloured wallpaper was the last thing I checked. Such an odd little 'glitch'.
