Someone "Spoofing" My eMail Return Address From OP

Hello,

Sr. Citizen, and not too sharp with this, so please bear with me if I am not following the forum protocals correctly.

This relates to my previous post of my getting several "can't deliver" kind of eMails each day that I have not sent. Apparently someone is spoofing my Comcast eMail account over the last few weeks.

Very worrisome to me, and with all of my problems now, this is about the last thing I want to contend with. Sure don't like the idea of someone using my eMail account.

I thought I would start a new Post on this, as I imagine my original one is pretty well buried by now.

Hi Robert11, first of all ... using a different computer, change all of your passwords!

Next, make sure proxy settings are disabled:
1) Under “Tools” in the browser tool bar select “Internet Options”.
2) In the “Internet Options” window that pops up, click the “Connections” tab at the top.
3) Click “LAN Settings” near the bottom of the “Connections” section.
4) If the “Proxy server” checkbox is marked with a check, click it to deselect/uncheck it.
5) Click “Ok” to close the “Local Area Network (LAN) Settings” window.
6) Click “Ok” to close the “Internet Options” window.
Reboot
Make sure "Proxy server" is still disabled under your LAN Settings.

Now, download (free version) Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop
Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.Right click to run as Administrator, using Windows 7 or Vista.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. Copy and Paste that log into your next reply.
