UPDATE: Driver now re-uploaded to sendspace here let me know if you have any issues

Just wanted to report that this card does work with windows 7. but it is not detected initially, as it shows a yellow mark in the device manager and Windows 7 is not able to locate the driver for it even from windows upate. also other driver tools like unblue driver scanner or driverguide fail at locating a driver. but everest does detect it's presence.

Next I tried downloading the Driver for W2k/XP from Creative but it didn't work straight away, when I first installed it, it said it did not found any hardware matching this driver on your computer, even when I had enabled compatability for XP mode/run as administrator, but once I pressed OK windows 7 asked if the installation went ok or not, and I had two options to select from, "installation worked successfully" or "try using recommended settings", so I selected the later and then it installed without any warnings this time! and my sound blaster started working within few minutes even before restarting!

The Above also applies to Windows Vista as well from what I have read on the net..

hi there, to be honest can't remember, not sure even if I downloaded the driver from creative site or 3rd party, but I still have the file and can upload it somewhere, I am at work now so I can't do it yet, in a few hours I should be able to. in case I forget just send me a PM Reminder!

EDIT: it's uploaded now to RS, you can get it here

EDIT2: RS link reached the download limit of 10 and was deleted, so now re-uploaded to sendspace, please check the first post

YA!
very strange after the incident, I decided to install my server 2003, at this time 64bits, until then I used Server 2003 x86 and everything worked well, and not had success with installing my card sb0220, then re-installed win 7 in 32bit [x86], and everything worked perfectly, I'm not sure if the bit was the problem but had the slight feeling that it was as if my pci slot not understand anything in 64bit x], on x64 i had two markings on the device manager on alert: PCI Input Device and Multimedia Audio Device, without driver.

Problem solved:
in my case, the card sb0220 work fine only in mode 32bits x86;

Thank you for your helpfulness in answers

!SOLVED!

yes I can, I will try uploading to sendspace.com this time, I hope they will keep it for a longer time than rapidshare did, cause right now I cannot afford a premuim RS account. once uploaded I will update this message

EDIT: status being uploaded now to sendspace, it needs at least 30 more minuts because my upload has been capped this month already :( lol, but the nice thing in sendspace you can resume download/upload if you use the wizzard, and it's free to do that, at least for now I think.

EDIT2: Upload done, please check first post for the link
