Source for Microsoft USB tool for Windows 7

Previously I had made USB Win7 installer. But now I get the \Boot\BCD error from the USB stick.
I don't know if that means reformat the USB device. I do know that the MS setup.exe for installer loads from that USB from my regular boot HD.
I have the necessary Win7 ISO format DVD to make the copy transfer.
But Microsoft says the USB DVD tool for Win7 is no longer available. I know support for Win7 has ceased.
How do I fix this?
Is the BCD error a corrupt USB install or is there an old version source for the copy tool?

MS seem to have removed the en-US version of the download page, but forgotten to remove the en-GB one. While it's still there, try this....

Ok I'll follow that link and see what's in there. Between time I did get a fresh d/l of Rufus which is apparently
active and getting current updates. It looks simple but I see that running the program shows my thumb drive
has 32 bit format on it as a storage drive. So some steps in setup need to be filled in.

I should have a source ISO Win7 to use.

This process was always confusing to me. Thanks for answering

Well I tried the link and didn't much after selecting GB language. I looked in my downloads and nothing started up.
Perhaps we can just focus on Rufus since it claims to be faster and better anyway.

My progress on this is I used disk management to change the 16gb thumb drive from Fat32 to NTFS.
An error usually is given when starting up Rufus that the drive door is open or no disk. I assume that
is for the Win7 ISO to be in the DVD drive. I haven't put that in because I'm anxious about _that_ DVD drive starting up and wiping something on the Boot SSD I have running this PC.

So a step by step on this with nothing left out will be helpful.
I don't know why that small Rufus dialog looks so complex. What I need is: " Lon, put the Win7 in the DVD player now. " Then have the copy procedure go.

If you want to use the Win 7 installation USB drive only to install as Legacy, you don't need the Fat32 format and the \efi\boot folder.

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
diskpart
list disk (it will list all drives. Identify the USB drive number)
select disk n (replace n by the USB drive number obtained with list disk)
clean
convert mbr
create part primary
select part 1
format fs=ntfs quick
assign
active
exit (to exit diskpart)

Now extract all files and folders from the Win 7 installation DVD or iso file to the root of the USB drive.
Now it will boot as Legacy only.
To make it universal (with HB, HP, Pro and Ultimate), on the USB drive, go to folder \sources and rename ei.cfg to ei.cfg.bak.

Now you can install any version of win 7 as Legacy
