Hello All,
didn’t know where to put this.

As I watch and log the temperatures from my system I was surprised, when I found out that the temperature of my CPU sometimes went up even no software is running.
After checking it for a while, I found out that sqlservr.exe uses the most of the CPU time and sometimes (about every 3-4 Minutes) he is the reason for this increase of the CPU Temperature. The CPU go every 3 Min. for about 4 seconds up to 80%.
I wonder what sqlservr.exe is doing (with no software running)!?
Didn’t have this behaviour in XP Pro with the same Software installed then now in Windows 7.

SQL Server was installed together with Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition. The name is MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS

See also attached Image.

Regards Mikel

After I changed from 2x1G RAM 800 to 2x2G RAM 1066 SQL Server stopped doing what he did. I believe Windows 7 64bit need at least 4G RAM to make sense.
Problem solved.
