SSD Recommendations?

I need some recommendations for a good SSD (laptop). Here are the ones I've researched so far with positive reviews.

Samsung 840 evo
Samsung 850 pro-series
Crucial M500

The 840 evo seems to have the best reviews but I'm still unsure... Any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated!

I have a Kingston V300 120GB SSD in one laptop and OCZ ARC100 120 GB in another. Both perform great and have excellent ratings on Newegg. I have ordered a second Kingston for a desktop.

Yea I believe the M500's are pretty old too :/
The BX100 are very good

I personally have 4 MX100's but they are old models too but still very good

It's either that or the Samsung 850 evo series of which I have 2 of those too

I have a Samsung 840 EVO and an 850, both impressive for the price.

These are all good choices. But I prefer the Mushkins. From my dozen SSDs the Mushkins are the fastest and they are reasonable in price.

I second the Mushkin drives. I have one of them, and a Samsung 850 EVO, and the Mushkin outperforms it.

Although I would recommend either the Mushkin or the Samsung drives. You can't go wrong with either brand.

I`ve read good things about the Mushkins too.

And don`t forget about the Intel models.

Whichever you get will be better then a hard drive

What's the difference between the two (apart from the EVO being substantially less expensive)??? Is the PRO just a newer model of the EVO?

The 850 pro version is slightly faster read speed 540-550mb
Write speed is the same 520mb

My 850 Pro, my Evo is not in use yet.

I appreciate the links.... I think I'll get the EVO for my laptop (since it's already a few yrs old). I also plan on building a desktop & will likely spring the extra $$$ on the PRO for that.
