Hi!..Sandip Here.I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate Version.I want to add a program(Written by me) in Windows 7's start Up Folder.I do it through OS independent way. So I'll do it through Shell:Startup option. Please tell me why I'll add the shortcut of my program exe instead of the program itself. Is there any problem in adding the program exe itself? If so, what's the problem?

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment, is that a shortcut has properties (right click>Properties) that can be useful that the .exe does not have.

Here's the Cause

Actually, when we add the exe itself instead of it's shortcut, it will create problem at the time of deletion of that exe. Because, when we start Windows, the exe is also starting with windows. So, when we going to delete the exe at this stage,it'll give an error message like.."The item is in use by another program "..and like that. So, we first have to close the running program and then have to delete the exe. So, it's little problametic. That's why we add the shortcut of the exe, which we can delete or change without any hazards.:):)
