Hi all, newbie here.. Got a new laptop only 1 week ago and this morning all hell broke loose
Had absolutely no complaints with it till today.. Turned it on and it started a startup repair scan. Said unable to fix problems or something and when I tried to exit it just kept doing another scan.. tried to do a system restore twice and got error 0x8000ffff. Called help line (Im not a pc master fixer) and it would not even start in safe mode--just kept starting up and doing the stupid scan again. Needless to say I had to do a complete recovery to factory settings. So it is working again now.. but my question is why did this happen and what can I do to keep it from happening again? Should I just take this laptop back and get a new one or will this happen with a new one as well... This is my laptop..
