How can I stop Windows from asking whether I want to scan and fix an external drive, whenever I turn on that external drive. It gives me the choice to scan and fix or continue without scanning.

The annoyance is that when I turn on the external drive, I may be doing something else and the notification will pop up or rather pop under all the other programs and windows I may have open and won't see the notification until I click on the taskbar and Windows Explorer is waiting for some response.

I know what is in the external drive and all is safe there.

Thank you.
Roxy

Do this...Let Windows scan the drive and fix the problems the drive is reporting.
Done.

Try paying attention to what Windows is telling you. Your drive has a problem. Let it fix it. If the issue persists, replace the drive.
