So I have a weird behavior and I cannot find what the cause would be. I have several computers and I am getting an optional update whereas I think I should not be getting based on my settings.
Computer A - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - GTX260 - no update
Computer B - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - GTX780Ti - optional update
Computer C - Windows 7 Home 64-bit - GTX430 - optional update
Computer D - Windows 7 Home 64-bit - GTX430 - optional update
Computer E - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - GTX675M - no update
The update is to the Nvidia drivers where I do not update to current via the Windows update nor do I update to the current via the Nvidia website since the latest drivers are causing issues.
My understanding is that in order for Windows 7 not to look for driver updates you need to go to:
Start > Devices and Printers > right click on your computer, select Device installation settings and then set the following;
* No, let me choose what to do
* bubble in Never install driver software from Windows Update
All the above systems are setup this way. So I am not sure why some systems are showing up as an optional update while others are not. I know that the Nvidia drivers are not current.
So am I missing some other setting that is causing this?
