Hello,
I find myself having to report some strange behavior about my Windows 7 64-bit.
Using the Firefox, Chrome, Opera when I cli on a link opens a new tab while the page is first loaded in the same tab.
When I scroll the mouse wheel, whether I am in a browser ache I'm in some folder of the operating system, the display changes zoom + or - depending on the movement of the finger. Before this morning did not.
In Thunderbird email program when I click on a folder and then on another (without the keyboard I type), are all selected. Each click is a selected folder.

no .... there may be some Windows update that does not work well because the last one was April 28, 2013.
Malwarebytes did not find anything.
Suggestions?

Sounds like your mouse might be defective/ malfunctioning if you have an extra please try it,
You can pick up a basic microsoft three button mouse for about 10 bucks to test with.
There has been reports of other issues with firefox and the Mouses feature Enhance pointer precision setting

What kind of mouse is it? try reinstalling/updating the the drivers for the mouse.

Start > Devices and Printers > Find your mouse > Properties > Driver > Update Driver

also doing the above but just disabling and re-enabling the device might do the trick.

If the two driver update doesn't help, then testing another mouse/usb port would be my next bet like ThrashZone suggested.

You can always roll back to when you knew the mouse was working once you find out it's not a hardware issue.

Let us know!

Welcome to the forums!
