suggestion for liquid cooling

Ok, here's my complete watercooling specs:

- Waterblock: EK Supremacy Clean CSQ Nickel
- Pump: EK DCP 4.0
- Reservoir: Phobya 5.25" Single Drive Bay
- Radiator: Coolgate CG240HD 240mm HD (20 FPI)
- UV Green 13mm ID 19mm OD tubes

I also ordered fittings and i already have a good thermal paste.
If necessary, I can buy & add a second Coolgate 120mm 20 FPI radiator, but... Do I really need it?

My guess is it should. If you do any overclocking I would put a second rad in. You could also do as linnemeyerhere said and try with one and if your temps are higher, put the other one in. Always plan for a way to drain the loop when installing.

I'm planning to reach 5.0 GHz with my i7 3770K

Yes, I'll overclock it, now I'm at 4.0 GHz and temps are fine with my Hyper TX3 EVO, but at 100% load with prime95 cores reach 80°-82° Celsius.

Just my opinion, if you are getting those temps at 4.0, I'd put the other rad in especially if you plan to try for 5.0. With both rads in, I still doubt you can hold temps in check at 5.0 during Prime95. The voltage required for 5.0 will cause excessive heat during stress testing, unless you have a 'golden chip', which we all want but few ever get.

I also noticed that doing 4.5 GHz and with a voltage of around 1.3 V temps are not really higher... And keep in mind that my actual thermal paste sucks and I'm not cleaning the Hyper TX3 Evo since months...

I'll try with a single radiator, if I can't hold 4.6-4.8 GHz with decent temps I'll add another 120mm radiator.

An eBay shop sold me a broken radiator, my pc was full of water. Now I cleaned it up and I'm running it with my Hyper TX3 Evo.

Now I have all the parts to build a watercooled system, but I'll wait to get a new case because this one is really small. Yes, it is possible to run custom watercooling system in a Silencio 550, but I prefer to wait for a new case
