svchost.exe / Schedule, high CPU and RAM usage

I've been having a problem where svchost.exe is using 25% of my CPU (X4 630) and 1GB+ of RAM.

I tracked this down to the Schedule service but still don't know why it's happening.

The Tasks that run (in case someone happens to know that one of these is known to cause this problem) are:

Calibration Loader
CleanMem Mini Monitor
GoogleUpdateTaskUser
HotStart
MsCtfMonitor
MSIAfterburner
QueueReporting
RacTask
RealUpgradeLogonTask
SystemSoundService
SystemTask
UserTask

Why are you concerned? You have more then enough resources.

What a wierd thing to say! I certainly can't spare 1GB+ and 25% of my CPU for no good reason, especially when I'm playing a game.

It seems to happen whenever it feels like.

If you're not interested in helping me stop it happening, please don't waste my time.

Thanks. I'll try disabling those first and see if it stops.

try scanning your computer 'coz some malware try to infect svchost exe

No worries, I tried that before starting this thread.

It doesn't seem to have happened lately with GoogleUpdate and RealUpgrade disabled, so I think it's probably one of those to blame.
