I am having a very frustrating intermittent problem. Windows 7 64 bit. The system freezes, sometimes for just a few seconds and sometimes permanently and I have to do a hard shutdown. When it is throwing its fit, the HDD light is lit up solid. I can usually still move the mouse, but the taskbar is locked.
I have a SSD and a 500g HDD, both of which passed chkdsk with no errors or bad sectors. I unplugged the 500g drive and the problem still happens. I'm just wondering what I should try next, it has been doing this since it was new and I am wondering if my memory or SSD is defective.
