System keeps rebooting when trying to get into safe mode

I cant seem to get into safe mode, computer automatically restarts everytime when i try to. Other than that my computer in normal mode works fine and i have also tried scanning for virus.

So why are you trying to get into safe mode ?

Just use msconfig and do a diagnostic startup.

because its a option i want to have, also system restore for me only works in safe mode.
is there a way to repair safe mode?

Use at your own risk, have you run a system file check yet ?

If system restore will only work in safe mode you have other issues.

You should not be relying on system restore, disk images are much more reliable and should be made frequently.

Have you tried system restore by booting from your install dvd ?

I have ran a sfc/scannow and everything is fine.
Im abit nervous on running those two software, i cant find any reviews or thread about it.
I also dont have additional drive i can clone my os drive to as of right now.
