Solved system recovery isnt working

my system recovery isn't working, i made a restore point encase what i was doing went bad ( nothing to do with windows) and i UN-installed my antivirus and i ran system restore in safe mode and it still says it isnt working 0x80070005 something like that please help

A Restore Point will not do a full system recovery. System Restore should be named Operating System Restore -- because all it really does is overwrite system files and settings with older versions that were saved during a previous System Restore. To completely restore the PC to an earlier date, you need to have done a full image backup for that date.

I have made a thing that allows access to shadow storage from booted media. Very simple to move/delete the os files from the installation partition and copy the good versions from shadow storage.

Are you able to get into windows now?

Not clear from your post , you said "encase what i was doing went bad". Are you just testing system restore - or has something actually gone bad?
